Men’s Health Course
The Exchange, 33 Gawber Road, Barnsley S75 2AH
Understanding my mental health and wellbeing
One in four of us will experience a mental health problem each year. We will focus on the physical and mental aspects of staying well, including how we cope with stress and pressure, the impact of identity and self-image and common physical health conditions that impact on both general and sexual health. We will look at the importance of reaching out, seeking appropriate advice and talking to the people you trust.
“After 9 months of a very poor sleep pattern, seriously affecting my ongoing mental health and eventually the loss of my job, l was made aware of The Helpful Habits for Sleep course at Barnsley Recovery College. The course helped me to develop a new preparation for a sleep plan and also some very useful tips to include in it. Since attending, there has been a dramatic improvement in my sleep pattern which made a major positive impact on my life."
