“This is such a rare and special place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The care for my own mental health needs I found here has played a major part in enabling me to support my husband as he has dealt with a difficult time. Through crafting I have been able to rediscover my creative energy and regain my strength. Skilled and empathetic staff make all learners feel respected and nurtured. I’ve been delighted to watch my husband find joy in life again as he has moved through the stages of recovery supported by amazing people.
Being a volunteer here has made me feel valued, given me access to in depth training and allowed me to meet many interesting learners as well as the opportunity to use skills from my former professional life. I love it here and enjoy being made to feel part of the team”
