Hi, I’m Katy. I’m passionate about my role as a peer support worker in the community connector team.

Before stepping into this position, I was a full-time carer for my younger brother while also navigating my own experiences with anxiety, loneliness, low mood, and the grief of a sudden loss. During that time, I received support from a peer support worker who introduced me to this role. Without her encouragement and belief in me, I would never have imagined myself doing such meaningful and rewarding work. Experiencing peer support first-hand showed me just how powerful and invaluable that support can be. I’m proud to now be in a position where I can offer that same understanding, empathy, and encouragement to others.
